Gout, which is a form of arthritis caused by excess uric acid in the bloodstream, can be treated with non steroidal, anti-inflammatory drugs. Plantar Fasciitis, which causes pain on the bottom of the heel, is caused by inflammation of the band of tissue (also called a fascia) at the bottom of the foot that runs from the heel to the toes.
