Louisiana Pain Specialists Recognized as "Empowering Women" Organization by City Business Magazine

Louisiana Pain Specialists is proud to New Orleans CityBusiness our recognition in the inaugural publication to recognize companies and organizations that have shown a strong commitment to supporting and elevating women in the New Orleans area.

"Empowering Women" is designed to showcase tangible and innovative efforts by for profit companies to advance women in the workplace and community.

“New Orleans CityBusiness has over 40 years of history recognizing and honoring women leaders,” said Lisa Blossman, managing director at New Orleans CityBusiness. “We are excited to build on Women of the Year by launching Empowering Women to recognize organizations that invest in, elevate, and support women leaders.”

Louisiana Pain Specialists was evaluated on a variety of criteria that demonstrate a commitment to some or all of the following:

• • Have a track record of recruiting, hiring and promoting women in their organization.
  • Offer a mentoring program for women.
  • Work toward systemic change in society to combat inequality.
  • Place women on their board or C-Suite.
  • Contribute to advancing the cause of women through outside philanthropic or community endeavors.
  • Provide scholarship assistance to women.

The program was started by CityBusiness with hopes that by recognizing the achievements of those organizations that have empowered women, it will provide guidance and inspiration to others hoping to emulate those successes.

Louisiana Pain Specialists is proud of their committment to support women in the workplace.

With a current C-Suite made up of ninety percent women, all of whom have grown in their roles within the company, and an overall workforce made up of eighty-five percent women, Louisiana Pain Specialists displays a commitment to creating a diverse workforce.

Company policies allow employees to create flexible schedules to better support women trying to manage their work-life balance or navigate a transitional period in their life.

Providing women at every level in the company with opportunities for advancement is important to Louisiana Pain Specialists. Employees have the chance to train across a variety of roles, and women in existing leadership positions offer mentorship to other female employees, as a way to offer career guidance and advice.
